MATTEO BENCI
In art Mat La Parterre, Matteo was born on November 13, 1981 and has always been passionate about music, poetry and everything that is art as emotion. He began not even as a teenager to listen to music without ever setting limits for himself and ranging from psychedelic rock to dance music, pop and hard rock, and from there on his passion for music would know no rest.
In his poetic production the influence of his late uncle, Mario Mugnai, painter and poet as well as art lover and founder of Studio 7, a historic Florentine art venue active since the 1970s, stands out indissolubly.
In his training, he studied singing, the use of voice and vocal techniques, speaking and advertising jingles and voice-related psychology with Sonia Alicervi, Luisella Sordini, Beppe Di Figlia, Martina Lo Conte, Loredana Lubrano, Emiliana Perina, Elisa Turlà, Anne Marie Speed, Natascia Naldini, Sara Benvenuti and Lisa Santinelli, Michele Luppi, Matteo Ratti and Alessandro Gerini. He also explored the art of theater, theatrical improvisation and musicals, as well as body movements with Eleonora Cappelletti, Alberto Ceville Gregory Eve, Mirko Manetti, Luisa Bascheri, Claudia Bonacchi, Sandra Garuglieri, Ilaria Cristini, Alessio Targioni, Stefano Simmaco, Ranko Yokoyama, Giulia Petrini and Franco Miseria.
In his career he tackled countless concerts with various acts, including the unreleased project Dirty Rockers, with which he also releases two albums of unreleased songs under international labels, and the tribute to the American band Savatage, the Poets And Madmen. With various companies he also cultivated a love for musicals, in particular with the Compagnia dell’Oziotto and the Compagnia La Fenice.
"Carpe Diem" is the motto that has always motivated him to find new stimuli in art.
